Service Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions:
* Rates are per person based on a minimum amount
* Game Drive rates exclude the Kruger National Park conservation fees: International guests R331 pp; SA Citizens R83 pp, and these can be increased by SANParks annually.
* All activities are subject to availability
*Guests enter the Kruger National Park or any other Private Game Reserve at their own risk. The Kruger National Park requires indemnity forms to be filled in upon entry
* Royal Safaris Tours & Transfers will not be held liable for circumstances that are beyond our control which might influence the quality of Game viewing, like adverse weather conditions, road closures, etc that may occur from time to time.
* Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee the locating and viewing of the Big 5 or any other animal of a specific species which may be requested.
* Our professional guides will do their utmost best to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience.
* We do not take responsibility for personal items like cameras, binoculars, etc. that are left behind on our vehicles or anywhere else. The owner will be held liable for additional costs that may be incured to have them returned.
* Bookings can only be 100% confirmed once full payment has been received.
* No children under the ages of 6 years old will be permitted to go on the open safari vehicles.
* Any children between the ages of 6 and 13 years of age must be accompanied by adults on the open safari vehicles.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please note that all cancellations are only effective once confirmed in writing by Royal Safaris office or representative. Please note that all refunds are subject to commission and/or bank charges;
- If bookings are cancelled 30 days or more prior to activity no cancellation fee will be charged;
- If bookings are cancelled between 7 and 29 days prior to activity 25% of the full value of the booking will be charged as cancellation fee;
- If reservations are cancelled between 1 and 7 days prior to activity 50% of the full value of the booking will be charged as cancellation fee;
- Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will incur full payment of the activity.
- All cancellations received after any type of payment has been made will incur a 10% handling fee.

Quotations
Quotations are based on itineraries and requirements specified by the customer. Upon receipt of the quotation, any changes requested by the customer which incur additional costs will be charged to the customer
Prices are subject to change in the event of a change in the price of fuel or in the rate of VAT
Quotations are quoted in SA Rand and are only valid as stated on the quotation
Prices for services of sub-contractors may vary and such changes will be communicated to the customer in writing
Acceptance of the quotation will be regarded as also acceptance of Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers terms and conditions of business

Reservations and Deposits
Normal bookings
10% deposit of the total quoted price is required to confirm a reservation
25% deposit is required if services are to be rendered within 31 – 90 days
100% payment is required if services are to be rendered within 30 day

Block bookings (five or more vehicles required for the same itinerary)
25% deposit of the total quoted price is required to confirm a reservation
50% deposit is required if services are to be rendered within 90 days
100% payment is required if services are to be rendered within 30 days

Cancellations
Cancellations shall only be valid if received in writing and in appropriate time frame

Payment
Full payment for services is required prior to departure
Although credit facilities may be granted to customers, a deposit for block bookings will still be applicable

Passenger Luggage and Personal Effects
Personal belongings and luggage are carried at the owner’s risk. Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers accepts no liability for loss or damage under any circumstances
Passengers shall, under no circumstances, carry with them on the vehicle any weapons, explosives or items which in the sole opinion of Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers believes to be dangerous or hazardous, or likely to cause offence to other passengers or their property.

Exclusion on Liability
Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers shall not be liable in any way for partial or total failure to perform the contract by reason of any mechanical or other defects, breakdown, accident or any other cause including any strike or lockout, fire or act of God,
or for any claims, damages or expenses arising out of defects or failure as foresaid, or any delays in starting, transit, arrival or return of any vehicle.

Company Sub-contracts
Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers reserves the right to sub-contract in case of an emergency and when this right is exercised, the substitute vehicle will, as far as circumstances permit, compare equally with Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers vehicle.
If such vehicle is not acquired, it remains the customer’s right to obtain a vehicle to his own standard and cost. In the event of Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers sub-contracting a vehicle, it is agreed that the substituted vehicle operator shall act as an independent contractor,
not subject to the control of Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers. It shall be deemed that the customer and the sub-contracted vehicle operator entered into a contract of hire and that the customer indemnifies Royal Safaris, Tours and Transfers against any claim for damage or
otherwise resulting from the driving of the substituted vehicle.

General
Any agreement of which these Terms and Conditions of Business form part of, shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

are registered with professional institutions
subscribe to the Code of Conduct for Guides
will always be welcoming and polite

Our Vehicles:
our open vehicles are approved by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS)
are equiped with two-way radios
are equiped with a C- track device which enables us to keep a record of the vehicle’s utilization (speed, position…etc.)
Please note that we need a minimum of 10 guests to do this drive. If we are not able to fill up the vehicle on the day that you book, we will contact you to reschedule the drive.

Our Passengers:
are covered by Public Liability Insurance

Customer privacy policy
Royal Safaris Tours and Transfers shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from:

Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, credit cards for online bookings. Bank transfers or cash will only be accepted for direct bookings into the Royal Safaris Tours and Transfers bank account, the details of which will be provided on request
Credit card acquiring and security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for Royal Safaris Tours and Transfers via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gatewa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Royal Safaris Tours and Transfers separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za
Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Royal Safaris Tours and Transfers chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
